Kenthurst Preschool Facilities
The Preschool has operated on its current site in a purpose-built centre since 1970. The building has been upgraded since then and now includes three classrooms, one that accommodates 10 children, and a large double playroom divided in two by a folding door, to accommodate 2 classes of 20 children.
There is a large locker room with lockers for 50 children, and a bathroom with toilet and hand washing facilities.
Our garden is a large, professionally landscaped space with plenty of shade trees and seasonal plants. Children are able to explore and play in areas such as sandpit, climbing structures, digging patch, Fairy Garden, vegetable patch and Dinosaur Garden.
There are spaces for active and passive outdoor play, ball games and dramatic play.
The gardens are enhanced by shade sails, an open grassed area (artificial grass) and original artworks and murals.
Inside the playrooms are light and airy. Our building is air conditioned and furnished to appeal to children.
Kenthurst Preschool employs educators as required for children with additional needs, to support their inclusion in our mainstream classes, subject to funding from the Department of Education and Communities.
